Figma Saber Lily Third Ascension Review

Hi, Accel here again bringing you the review of our king in her most innocence form, figma Saber Lily Third Ascension ver.

Since this is a Wonder Festival exclusive item, the box it came with does not have any see through window design a regular figma release would have.

Being a WF exclusive item, Good Smile Company as usual did not really pack a a lot of accessories in this release. The release only includes a Caliburn, a sheath, an extra smiley face, fixed pose hands and a standard figma stand.

Saber Lily commands you!!!!!

GSC as usual did a fantastic job on the sculpt of this figma. Since this is Saber Lily in her less armored form, the joints are a bit distracting but nothing too serious.

One of the reasons I chose to order this version of Lily instead of the amored one is because of the dress. I just like the sculpt of this dress along with the black tights and the high heel a lot more than the bulkier amored version, not to mention the skirt is shorter in this version as well. XD

Unlike the dress version of Blue Saber (Official name from FGO gudaguda drama cd), Lily's articulation is not severely limited partly due to the shorter dress.

SABER KICK!!!!

The front of the skirt is made of a softer material and although the skirt looked like a one piece design, it's actually separated in three parts which can slightly move to provide the legs better articulation range.

As you can probably see, the black lining of the dress is crisp and no major paint spill over on the whole figure. The quality control on my copy of the figure is great as you would expect from GSC.

Initially, I thought the figure would suffer like its Blue Saber counterpart with very limited leg articulation due to the skirt design. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the poses Lily was able to pull off. Oh, did I mention the pigtail is articulated as well?

The figma can easily pull off the box art pose without any problem at all.

The figma also has a left hand that is able to hold the sheath firmly without dropping it which is a great improvement over Blue Saber dress ver.

The alternate face expression that came with Lily is a smiley face.

Must.....protect this........smile.......

Pretty sure the mail service will increase their sales by using their king as the poster child. XD

We send anything you can jam in a package.........ANYTHING........

Now correct me if I am wrong but I think the Caliburn at least in Fate universe is the sword in the stone, so it's only appropriate for me to recreate how our king did it.

Poof.............

Now let's cut someone down with this.............

Lily should be able to cut down anything with a face like that. I mean come on, could you even refuse?

At first, the promotion photos showed that Lily's face is more squared than I would like it to be but now that I can have a closer look, I have to say that the difference is minimal and Lily looks cute in every angle.

Now, for you sick basxxxd who wants to peek.

You peeked didn't you?

Please atone for the sins you have committed...............

Every Saber should have a beam attack. Don't you think?

Saber Lily Third Ascension ver. figma is a decent action figure from GSC. It has more than enough articulation to pull off most of the poses you could think of. The excellent sculpted dress and 2.0 rendition of Lily are probably the main selling points for this version.

However, the price of this figma is a bit steep if you factor in the lack of accessories of this release. 7000yen including shipping to me is a bit steep and it seems that the rest of the upcoming FGO lineup is not going to be any cheaper.

I would only recommend this figma to someone that really likes the design of the dress instead of the armor of the regular Saber Lily.

That's all from me and I hope to see you again in the next review.
